I’m a big fan of this bleached-pine bookcase for its pared-back look and versatile height - it slips easily into both contemporary Scandi schemes and pared-down coastal or farmhouse rooms. Its slim frame suits hallways or snug living rooms, while the natural grain helps soften industrial or all-white spaces.
For styling, mix books and decorative items to avoid a one-note display: stack a few volumes horizontally, nestle a ceramic pot or low vase on top, and use woven baskets at the bottom shelf to keep small bits out of sight. Keep colour accents to two or three complementary tones - say soft blues or muted greens - to pull the whole look together without overwhelming the clean lines.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
