Description

A retro-inspired chair crafted from elm wood with a contemporary black finish and a contrasting natural rattan back.

Our Stylist Says

I love this chair for its blend of natural materials and simple form, making it versatile across various interiors. Its black Elm frame adds a modern, sleek touch, while the rattan backrest adds texture and warmth, perfect for adding cosy, tactile appeal. This piece works especially well in Scandinavian, boho, or eclectic settings where natural woods and woven accents are key. Practical styling tips include pairing it with a neutral-toned dining table and adding colourful or patterned cushions for comfort and visual interest. Its lightweight design also makes it easy to reorganise, making it a clever choice for both everyday dining and more relaxed, informal spaces.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
