Description

Design. Boxy in its shape but full of delightful details, the Bibi TV unit is a stylish and eye-catching addition to any living room. A diamond parquet design to the door fronts takes centre stage, with retro-glam brass inserts and handles providing on-trend appeal. Brass legs bring the look together;beautifully slim and splayed for a touch of angular symmetry. The TV unit’s solid Acacia wood construction delivers both durability and stunning surface markings unique to each piece. Spacious enough forall of your storage needs, it features two open shelves and two compartments behind doors, whilst cable holes at the back keep things neat. Gorgeously geometric and built to last, it is a bold and beautiful choice for so many interior schemes.

Our Stylist Says

I love this piece for its mid-century vibe combined with modern functionality. The Bibi TV unit's warm wood tones and geometric detailing make it a versatile choice for a variety of interiors, from Scandi-inspired minimalism to eclectic living rooms. It works particularly well in spaces where you want to add visual interest without overwhelming the room. Practical styling tips include balancing its length with surrounding furniture, and using top surfaces for decorative accessories like vases or books while keeping tech organised inside. Its angled legs also give it a lift off the ground, making the space feel lighter and more open.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
