Hand tufted by craftsmen here in the UK, the delightfully plump design features low recessed rolled arms and deep squishy seats. Smart hand turned wooden legs complete the look. The Bern range includes two seater and three seater sofas, an armchair and an ottoman. Our Bern collection can be upholstered in a choice of 33 distinctive shades and five fabrics to suit your style.

I’m a big fan of the dove-velvet armchair for the way its soft grey tone and turned-wood legs sit comfortably between traditional and contemporary schemes. It works equally well in a Scandi-inspired living room or a more classic, muted palette - just add a knitted throw or a geometric cushion for a touch of pattern. For practical styling, position it next to a slim side table and a floor lamp to create a cosy reading corner, and use a natural-fibre rug underneath to anchor the look.
