Description

Add a modern, contemporary style to your home with the Beatrice Table Lamp. With a glamorous, gold base, the minimalistic body has a beautiful shine, creating an elegant look especially lit up by a warm glow. Atop the gold base sits a warm, brown diffuser shade, with a mid-century, retro aesthetic that gives a unique sense of character to the lamp while diffusing the light into a softer, warm glow, perfect for creating a mood in any living room or bedroom.

Our Stylist Says

I love this lamp for its sleek, modern design combined with a touch of luxury thanks to the gold base. It works really well in contemporary interiors, especially in cosy corners or as a statement piece on side tables and consoles. Its neutral, muted shade allows it to blend easily with various colour schemes, from soft pastels to bold hues. Practical styling tips include pairing it with understated accessories or placing it alongside textured materials like velvet or wood to create visual interest. For a more polished look, keep surrounding accessories minimal, letting the lamp serve as a subtle focal point.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
