Price History

Description

Perfect for families, the versatile Avery 6-10 seat oak extending dining table nods to farmhouse designs with its clean lines and 'breadboard' ends. Designed in house by Matt Long, the table's 2 leaves – stored within the table – allow its size to be increased in stages, making it perfect for everyday use and when entertaining. Exclusive to Habitat, the table has solid oak legs and ends, and an oak-veneered top and is matt lacquered to protect the beautifully grained wood. A matching Avery 3 seater solid oak dining bench is also available, together with contemporary rattan chairs.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Avery 6-10 Seater Oak Extending Table for its timeless, natural finish and practical size. It works beautifully in both modern and Scandi-inspired interiors, where its clean lines and light oak tone bring warmth without overwhelming the space. It’s versatile enough to pair with minimalist chairs or mix and match with more eclectic dining seating. A handy tip is to keep the room uncluttered around it, allowing the table’s natural beauty to be the focal point. When styling, consider adding a simple runner or a statement centrepiece to create an inviting dining spot that’s both functional and visually appealing.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
