Description

The Avaley Rug has a pretty pattern of curling fronds and abstract florals in a Washed Rose hue, crafted using a traditional hand-knotting technique that originates from Persia. The wool is first sorted by hand and spun into yarn, then washed and dyed before skilled artisans embark on the knotting process. A designer draws out the design on paper so the weaver can determine the size and pattern of the rug and adjust their handloom accordingly. A maximum of three weavers work together on one handloom, carefully binding the vertical warps around the horizontal yarns from the bottom upwards until it is complete.

Our Stylist Says

I love this washed rose rug for its subtle, vintage vibe which adds warmth and character to a space. It works particularly well in neutral, minimalist interiors or in rooms where you want a relaxed, lived-in feel. Its understated colour palette makes it versatile enough to layer with patterned or textured furnishings without overpowering them. For styling, consider placing it under a simple coffee table or in an airy bedroom to create a cosy coastal or boho look. To keep it looking its best, avoid placing it in high-traffic areas prone to stains, and look at using a rug pad to prevent slipping and protect the fibres.
