The August collection is made from aluminium, which grants it a great lightness. Equipped with a very resistant powder coating, this collection is therefore suitable for use indoors and outdoors. The chairs, the lounge chair and the table exude the uncluttered simplicity of the monastic life that they take inspiration from. However, the very modern wider proportions and being a tad lower, ensure great modern comfort. Gifted with a vision coming from unrestrained curiosity, the designer, Vincent Van Duysen, always creates a global ambiance imperceptibly combining architecture, interior decoration and designer items. It is also the approach that he adopted when transforming the old military hospital of Anvers into a hotel. It was for the hotel's terrace that he designed the Outdoor August collection. This series of minimalist chairs, without the slightest hesitation, grant a modern interpretation to the ancientness of places.
This chair has a sleek, modern aesthetic thanks to its aluminium frame and minimalist design, making it a versatile choice for contemporary interiors. I love how the black finish lends it a sophisticated edge, perfect for adding a hint of industrial or urban chic to dining spaces. It works particularly well in minimalist or monochrome schemes, but can also be paired with warm wood tones for a balanced, eclectic look. Practical styling tips include layering it with colourful or textured cushions for comfort, or using different colours of the same style for a lively, mixed-set dining arrangement. Its stackable design also makes it ideal for multi-purpose spaces or homes with limited storage, combining style with functionality effortlessly.
