I’ve used this slim five-shelf unit in everything from compact home offices to open-plan living rooms because its neutral mix of grey and white works with Scandi, modern farmhouse or transitional schemes. The narrow profile makes it perfect for tight hallways or beside a desk, and the five tiers give you room to layer books, baskets and a few sculptural accents without overwhelming the space.
Styling tip: alternate horizontal and vertical book stacks, tuck small wicker or fabric baskets on lower shelves for concealed storage, and leave a little breathing room around each item to avoid a cluttered look. A couple of small potted plants or framed prints on the central shelves will add life without competing with the clean lines.
