Description

This spacious sideboard is made from a combination of painted MDF and natural bamboo, which we've used to create the ridge feature on the cupboard doors. It can support the weight of a TV so doubles up as a TV stand and we've added cable holes at the back to keep media cables organised. Plus, there's an adjustable shelf inside each cupboard section. Simple to put together and available in neutral or bold painted finishes so you can add an accent of colour to your space. More about bamboo Bamboo is the world's fastest growing plant, so it's considered to be one of the most renewable and readily available raw materials in the world. It's incredibly durable and lightweight and can be re-harvested every 3-5 years, in comparison to certain hardwoods that can only be harvested every 50 years. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display. With great prices and great design, our new brand offers style and quality for modern living today. Whatever you need, there’s joy to be found in.

Our Stylist Says

I love the John Lewis & Partners Ridge sideboard for its sleek, contemporary design and versatile colour palette. Its navy frame combined with the natural wood fronts offers a modern yet warm aesthetic that suits a range of interiors, from Scandi-inspired spaces to mid-century modern rooms. Practical styling tips include using it as a statement piece in the living room or dining area-pair with woven baskets or minimalist décor for a clean vibe. Its ample storage makes it perfect for hiding away clutter, while the neutral tones work well with both bold and subtle colour schemes. To enhance its look, consider placing decorative objects like ceramics or plants on top for added interest.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
