Description

The Anderson 6 seater oak and grey dining table has clean, simple lines and a beautiful, wild grain top that is complemented by its soft, neutral-toned base. Created in the Habitat design studio, this bench has a sturdy oak top and its legs are made from wood and finished with a clear lacquer for durability. Concealed drawers at either end of the table provide useful storage space for cutlery and napkins. The dining table is part of the Anderson range, which includes a matching 3 seater dining bench, and a bookcase, coffee table and TV stand in solid oak.

Our Stylist Says

I love this dining table for its versatile combination of oak and grey finishes, making it suitable for both contemporary and classic interiors. It works particularly well in open-plan kitchens or dining rooms with a neutral colour palette, where its understated elegance can really stand out. Practical styling tips include pairing it with mix-and-match chair styles for a relaxed vibe, or opting for streamlined, colour-coordinated seating for a more polished look. To keep the space feeling balanced, add some textured accessories or statement lighting above, which will complement the table’s clean lines without overwhelming the overall aesthetic.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
