Description

Immerse yourself in modern opulence with our Allen Black Marble 180cm Dining Table and 4 Green Boucle Dining Chairs. The table, featuring a lustrous black marble top and black powder-coated metal legs with walnut veneer, exudes sophistication. Paired with the Timmins Green Boucle Fabric Chairs, boasting black metal legs, the ensemble is a harmonious blend of elegance and comfort. Crafted from ceramic, metal, and solid birch wood, this dining set is a testament to style and durability.

Our Stylist Says

The Allen Fixed Table and Timmins Dining Chairs make a versatile and modern combo that’s perfect for contemporary interiors. I love how the table's solid, sculptural base adds a touch of sculptural interest without overpowering the space, making it suitable for open-plan living or more intimate dining areas. The black chairs bring a sleek, sophisticated feel, working well in monochrome or minimalist schemes, but they can also add contrast in more colourful settings. Practical styling tips include pairing it with textured or patterned tableware to soften the look, or adding a statement centrepiece for visual interest. This set is particularly effective in homes that favour clean lines and a slightly Scandinavian aesthetic, but it’s adaptable enough to work in various styles from industrial to contemporary."

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
