Our Stylist Says
What I love about this blue velvet bed is the way its deep hue and subtle sheen anchor a room without feeling heavy. The metal insets in the headboard give a nod to art-deco styling, so it suits both pared-back modern spaces and more opulent schemes. For a balanced look, pair it with soft grey or off-white walls and introduce brass or gold tones in your bedside lamps or a mirror frame. Layer in a textured rug and mix velvet cushions with linen throws to keep the overall feel cosy yet refined. Under-bed storage boxes in matching or contrasting fabrics will also help you stay organised and make the most of the frame’s low profile.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
