Description

Upgrade your kitchen island with the Alfie Bobble Glass 3 Light Pendant Bar. This diner pendant bar is the perfect fit for any kitchen island or breakfast bar as it is height adjustable with a 3 light design. It also comes in a polished nickel finish for a modern sheen to your decor, and comes with 3 mottled glass shades that look ideal when paired with our separately sold vintage filament light bulbs for a decorative appearance.

Our Stylist Says

The Alfie bobble is a smart choice for contemporary interiors, particularly those aiming for a minimalist or industrial feel. Its clear glass globes offer a clean, unobtrusive look that works well above kitchens islands, dining areas, or even modern open-plan living spaces. I love incorporating it in spaces where you want to add subtle sophistication without overwhelming the overall design. For styling tips, consider pairing it with matte black or brass fixtures to enhance the modern aesthetic, and ensure the height is adjustable to create a balanced look, especially in spaces with high ceilings. It’s versatile, practical, and definitely sets a stylish tone in any modern setting.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
