Alesia Rechargeable Mushroom Table Lamp - Green

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Alesia rechargeable mushroom lamp for its playful yet modern design, making it a versatile piece for various interiors. The soft green hue adds a gentle pop of colour without overpowering a space, making it suitable for both contemporary and Scandinavian-inspired schemes. It’s ideal as a bedside or desk lamp, especially because of its rechargeable feature, which means it can be easily moved around without fuss. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with natural textures like wood or linen to enhance its organic shape, or use it as a statement piece on a sideboard or reading nook for a touch of functional charm. Its compact size and portability make it a practical addition to casual or minimalist settings.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
