Description

The Adina black and blue side table is a contemporary update on a classic design and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Made in Vietnam, each tile is cut and sanded by hand and laid upside down inside the metal frame before concrete is poured over and left to set. The design is then turned over, polished and finished with a clear lacquer glaze to protect the overall finish. Adina’s simple silhouette boasts a natural tiled surface top that’s supported with a slim, metal frame to truly open up your space. Part of the Adina range, the side table is also available as a coffee table.

Our Stylist Says

The Adina black and blue side table is a striking yet versatile piece that works well in contemporary or eclectic interiors. I love its bold colour combination, which can add a pop of colour to neutral schemes or complement other blue accents in the room. The geometric tiled top makes it both functional and decorative, perfect for placing beside a sofa or armchair to hold a lamp, drinks, or books. For styling tips, consider pairing it with other black or metallic accessories to bring cohesion, or use it to showcase small decorative objects in contrasting hues. Its compact size makes it ideal for smaller spaces or as an accent piece in a layered, thoughtfully styled room.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
