Description
In the year of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, we reimagined a rare antique designed for Westminster Abbey for the coronation of King George VI. The dipped seat pad has remained, but it’s been given a modern makeover with a longer back panel and extra padding for added comfort. The characteristic carved hoof feet add charming detail that elevate the design from something simple to something more sophisticated. The natural grain of the wood will have individual characteristics from piece to piece, as will the Dark Vellum Leather that lends an old-world charm. Our leather is carefully chosen for its full grain, with natural imperfections in the form of wrinkles and scars that give it textural individuality, warmth and resilience. It has no synthetic top coat which allows it to beautifully age over time, telling its own story.
