Description

Designed by Alexander Girard for Knoll in 1948, the 108 Coffee Table reflects the mid-century aesthetic of clean lines, organic shapes and Girard's view that "art is only art when it is synonymous with living. "Four cold-rolled steel black power-coated legs support the asymmetric table top in solid natural oak. An understated 45° bevelled edge completes the coffee table, which ultimately reflects the playful spirit Girard injected into the often austere modern vocabulary. A classic mid-century design, the 108 Coffee Table would make a contemporary addition to any living area.

Our Stylist Says

I love the natural oak finish of this coffee table - its neutral tone makes it versatile for a range of interiors, from Scandi-inspired to more contemporary spaces. Its unique shape adds visual interest without overwhelming the room, making it a great centrepiece. It works particularly well in open-plan living areas or minimalist schemes where clean lines and understated elegance are key. Practical styling tips include layering with a few carefully chosen accessories like a ceramic tray, a stack of books, or a small plant to create a lived-in yet curated look. Pairing it with different textures such as a rug or soft throw can also soften the overall aesthetic for a cosy, welcoming feel.
