Floor Lamps

Floor lamps on Flitch

You’ll find the widest choice at The Range, Made in Design and Dunelm. The range keeps growing: retailers have added 149 new floor lamps to Flitch in the last 30 days. More than half of the floor lamps are metal, and the most common colours are grey and black. There are also 1,772 with built-in LED lights. It’s a good idea to measure your space before you choose: of the floor lamps with measurements listed, most are between 130 and 165cm tall.

How much do floor lamps cost?

Half of all floor lamps on Flitch cost less than £110. That’s about 40% more than lamps in general, which usually cost around £80. The biggest difference in price comes down to material: plastic ones typically cost £160, about 70% more than wooden ones at £95. Style matters too, with contemporary designs at around £120 against £80 for modern designs. Taller ones cost more: those over 170cm tall come in at around £160, about 45% more than shorter ones at £110. It also pays to shop around: of the retailers with plenty to choose from, The Range is usually the cheapest, at around £65, and Andrew Martin the most expensive, at around £1,050.

What other shoppers are choosing

Table lamps are also popular with shoppers, if you’re not set on floor lamps. Ceramic lamps are popular with shoppers, but there are fewer to choose from than most other materials. Retailers have also been stocking more blue lamps this year, so there’s a wider choice available.

Is now a good time to buy floor lamps?

Right now 518 floor lamps are reduced, typically by 17% – and some by up to 72%. About one in ten floor lamps are cheaper than they’ve usually been over the last three months. Discounts come round often, too: about two in five have dropped in price at some point in that time. If the one you want isn’t reduced, set a price alert and we’ll tell you when it drops.
