Fabric Rugs

Fabric rugs on Flitch

More than half of the rugs on Flitch are fabric, more than any other material. You’ll find the widest choice at The Rug Seller, The Range and Nordic Nest. The range keeps growing: retailers have added 145 new fabric rugs to Flitch in the last 30 days. The most common colours for fabric rugs are beige and grey. Beyond modern and contemporary designs, the most common style is traditional. Fabric is a practical all-rounder: it's usually comfortable, comes in a wide choice of colours, and often costs less than leather or velvet.

How much do fabric rugs cost?

Half of all fabric rugs on Flitch cost less than £120. That’s about the same as rugs in general. The biggest difference in price comes down to style: contemporary designs typically cost £120, about 40% more than traditional designs at £90. Pattern matters too, with abstract ones at around £150 against £110 for geometric ones. It also pays to shop around: of the retailers with plenty to choose from, The Range is usually the cheapest, at around £35, and Soho Home the most expensive, at around £2,000.

What other shoppers are choosing

Wool and jute rugs are also popular with shoppers, if you’re not set on fabric. Check rugs are catching on: shoppers have looked at them more over the last three months than at this time last year. Retailers have also been stocking more check rugs this year, so there’s a wider choice available.

Is now a good time to buy fabric rugs?

Right now 1,461 fabric rugs are reduced, typically by 10%. About one in ten fabric rugs are cheaper than they’ve usually been over the last three months. Discounts come round often, too: about two in five have dropped in price at some point in that time. If the one you want isn’t reduced, set a price alert and we’ll tell you when it drops.
