Black brings definition and a touch of drama, and it anchors a room with lighter walls and floors. Compare 86 black metal desks from 23 retailers on Flitch, with prices for most of them running from around £30 to £200 – so there’s choice across a wide range of budgets.
Black metal desks on Flitch
About a quarter of the metal desks on Flitch are black, making it one of the most common colours. You’ll find the widest choice at The Range, Made in Design and Nordic Nest. Beyond modern and contemporary designs, the most common style is industrial. Metal is strong enough to be slim, which can suit a small space, and powder-coated finishes tend to resist scratches and rust. As for colour, black can make the lighter colours around it stand out, though it may show dust and pet hair more than you'd expect.
How much do black metal desks cost?
Half of all black metal desks on Flitch cost less than £110. That’s a little more than metal desks in general, which usually cost around £100.
What other shoppers are choosing
Brown and white desks are also popular with shoppers, if you’re not set on black. Retailers have been stocking more vintage desks this year, so there’s a wider choice available.
