Black mattresses on Flitch
You’ll find the widest choice at Furniture Village, Downtown and The Range. Black can make the lighter colours around it stand out, though it may show dust and pet hair more than you'd expect.
How much do black mattresses cost?
Half of all black mattresses on Flitch cost less than £480. That’s about 25% more than mattresses in general, which usually cost around £390. The biggest difference in price comes down to size: king ones typically cost £800, about three times the price of double ones at £290. Type matters too, with memory foam ones at around £110 against £100 for coil sprung ones.
What other shoppers are choosing
White and grey mattresses are also popular with shoppers, if you’re not set on black. Pocket sprung mattresses are catching on: shoppers have looked at them more over the last three months than at this time last year. Retailers have also been stocking more latex foam mattresses this year, so there’s a wider choice available.
Is now a good time to buy black mattresses?
Right now 6 black mattresses are reduced, typically by 10% – and some by up to 33%. About a quarter of the black mattresses are cheaper than they’ve usually been over the last three months, so it’s a good moment to compare. Prices here change often, so if the one you want isn’t reduced, set a price alert and we’ll tell you when it drops.
