Description

Designed to provide shade from the sun and shelter from light rainfall, the Stirling arbour from Zest is the perfect place to sit, relax and eat outdoors. Seats up to two people on each bench on either side of the picnic-style dining table. A sturdy design with decorative trellis panels, a fitted, slatted rectangular dining table and comfortable, angled seats. Made of pressure-treated wood for maximum protection. The wood is a mix of slow-grown European pine and spruce from sustainably managed forests and PEFC-certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). Care information Allow your product time to adjust to its new location. Timber is a natural material which means that each item is unique, therefore changes in temperature and humidity will cause expansion and contraction. Any natural movement will not affect the strength of this product or its beauty but it can be useful to check the tightness of the screws and fixings around a month after assembly to accommodate any such movement, and from time to time after that. There's no need to treat your new Zest timber product with preservatives as it has been pressure-treated against rot for ten years. If you prefer to enhance its colour, then the best time to do so is six months after taking delivery using a well-known reputable timber preservative. If you notice any build-up of green mildew due to weather conditions, all you need to do is wash your Zest product with a solution of soft soap and warm water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and leave to dry completely.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Zest Stirling set for its versatile, natural look that pairs well with a variety of garden styles, from relaxed rustic to Scandi-inspired outdoor spaces. Its robust, natural wooden finish makes it perfect for those who want a laid-back, organic feel, but it can also be styled up with cushions, throws, or fairy lights for added charm. Practical tips include accessorising with colourful tableware or outdoor candles to make dining al fresco more inviting, and pairing it with textured planters or planting beds to soften the overall look. It's a great choice for creating a welcoming, functional outdoor dining area that suits a range of aesthetics.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
