Description

A large outdoor furniture set from Zest with a pair of 5-foot two-seater benches, a pair of 2-foot chairs and a rectangular dining table. The strong and durable set is perfect for family gatherings, seating up to six people for dining, or more guests if socialising. Each piece has sturdy legs for support and a rustic yet smooth design. Made of pressure-treated wood for maximum protection. The wood is a mix of slow-grown European pine and spruce from sustainably managed forests and PEFC-certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). Care information Allow your product time to adjust to its new location. Timber is a natural material which means that each item is unique, therefore changes in temperature and humidity will cause expansion and contraction. Any natural movement will not affect the strength of this product or its beauty but it can be useful to check the tightness of the screws and fixings around a month after assembly to accommodate any such movement, and from time to time after that. There's no need to treat your new Zest timber product with preservatives as it has been pressure-treated against rot for ten years. If you prefer to enhance its colour, then the best time to do so is six months after taking delivery using a well-known reputable timber preservative. If you notice any build-up of green mildew due to weather conditions, all you need to do is wash your Zest product with a solution of soft soap and warm water, rinse thoroughly with fresh water and leave to dry completely.

Our Stylist Says

I love this set for its natural, rustic appeal, which pairs beautifully with both modern and traditional garden styles. Its warm wood tone makes it versatile enough to complement a variety of outdoor environments, from cottage gardens to contemporary terraces. When styling, consider adding colourful cushions and tableware to bring personality and comfort, or keep it minimalist with neutral textiles for a clean, cohesive look. It's a durable choice that looks equally charming with a simple vase of seasonal flowers or a casual outdoor feast. Practical tips include positioning it on a level surface and applying a protective sealant periodically to preserve the finish, ensuring it stays inviting for years to come.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
