Description

Luxurious Miami two-seater with a fixed wooden canopy and a comfortable swing seat. Two removable shelves easily slot onto the swing's armrests — perfect for summertime drinks. Made of pressure-treated wood for maximum protection. The wood is slow-grown European redwood from sustainably managed forests and PEFC-certified (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). Care informationAllow your product time to adjust to its new location. Timber is a natural material with changes in temperature and humidity causing expansion and contraction. Any natural movement will not affect the strength of the product or its beauty but it can be useful to check the tightness of the screws and fixings around a month after assembly to accommodate any movement, and from time to time after that. There's no need to treat your new Zest timber product with preservatives as it has been pressure-treated against rot for ten years. If you prefer to enhance its colour, the best time to do so is six months after taking delivery, which allows enough time for excess moisture from the pressure treatment to dry out. Use a well-known, reputable timber preservative. Pressure treatment maximises product life and appearance retention, but when new, it may cause a little 'green spotting' on the surface of the timber. This is caused by natural salts leaving the wood. It will fade away over time and is no way detrimental to the product. If you notice any build-up of green mildew due to weather conditions, simply wash your Zest product with a solution of mild soap and warm water, rinse well with fresh water and leave to dry thoroughly.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Miami swing for its simple, natural aesthetic - it’s versatile enough to work in both traditional garden settings and more relaxed, contemporary outdoor spaces. The timber construction adds warmth and a touch of rustic charm, making it an inviting feature. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with neutral-toned cushions or vibrant throws to add comfort and colour. It works well with a mix of outdoor furniture in natural fibres or soft metals and can be placed amidst greenery or beneath a pergola for a cosy, functional spot to unwind. Practical styling tips include anchoring it with some fairy lights or hanging planters nearby to create a laid-back, inviting vibe.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
