I’m a fan of the York table for its clean lines and warm oak tones, which make it a versatile centrepiece in both Scandi-inspired and contemporary schemes. The simple oval top and chunky legs give a modern twist on rustic style without overwhelming the space.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
