Description

A mid-century inspired armchair handcrafted from ash wood and upholstered in sumptuous grey velvet. Featuring sweeping curved arms, decorative button detailing and tapered legs.

Our Stylist Says

I love the chair because of its neutral grey velvet upholstery, which makes it versatile for various interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary settings, adding a touch of sophistication, but can also complement more vintage or eclectic styles when paired with textured cushions or throws. The wooden armrests and legs introduce warmth, creating a balanced look. For styling tips, consider placing it as a statement piece with bold cushions or alongside other soft furnishings in a reading nook or living room corner. It’s practical too, as the plush velvet adds comfort, making it perfect for relaxing or casual seating. Keep the surrounding space minimalist or add metallic accents for a modern edge, and you’ll have a chic yet inviting space.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
