I’d call this the black ladder shelf - it’s a great fit when you need storage without eating into floor space. Its slim, lean frame complements contemporary, Scandi or even industrial schemes, and the open tiers keep the room feeling light rather than boxed in.
For styling, mix up books arranged both vertically and horizontally, interspersed with small plants or ceramic vases to add texture and colour. Leave one or two shelves sparsely filled so it doesn’t look over-cluttered, and consider using a woven basket on the bottom tier for stashing throws or magazines.
