Description

The Yeoman large zinc dining table is a contemporary design, perfect for relaxed suppers with family and friends. Hand applied nails are added to the zinc top for an industrial look. Zinc is a beautiful material that naturally develops a patina over time and will improve with age as the marks and dents in its surface tell the story of its life. Designed by Habitat's in-house team, Yeoman can seat up to 8 people and has a powder coated metal base, inspired by wallpaper tables. It is part of the Yeoman furniture range.

Our Stylist Says

I love this dining table for its sleek, contemporary look combined with industrial charm. Its zinc top adds a cool, slightly metallic sheen that works well in modern, minimalist interiors, but it can also provide an eye-catching contrast in more eclectic spaces. The black metal legs add stability and a subtle industrial edge, making it versatile enough to sit in both urban apartments and country homes with a vintage-inspired vibe. For styling, keep the table clear for formal dinners or dress it down with a simple runner, centrepieces like candles or a rustic wooden bowl, and paired with a mix of stylish chairs that balance comfort and design. It's a practical choice for large gatherings, and its understated elegance means it can easily adapt to different interior themes.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
