Price History

Description

'Secret Garden' by artist Helen Lynch is a celebration of the shapes, colours and patterns found in nature. This work from YARDART is designed for wall-mounting, outdoors or indoors. When Lynch felt a renewed sense of focus in her life, she had the opportunity to create her own garden, a place just for her and her daughter where she was free to express herself through the flowers, shrubs and beds that she planted. The sense of freedom and close contact with nature that gardening provides inspired Helen to create the 'Secret Garden' series. Complementing modern exteriors and natural surroundings, YARDART's garden art is ideal for patios, terraces, balconies and other outdoor spaces. Printed in the UK onto premium-quality, outdoor-grade 5mm acrylic using UV and water-resistant inks, this work is completely weatherproof and waterproof and so can also be wall-mounted in bathrooms and kitchens. The state-of-the-art printing ensures the fade-proof colours are retained over time. The frame is digitally printed to create a three-dimensional effect. It's easy to install and ready to wall-mount with the four matching architectural bolts, included.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Yardart 'Secret Garden' print for its vibrant yet calming colour palette, which works beautifully in both contemporary and traditional outdoor spaces. Its waterproof framing makes it versatile for garden walls, porches, or even a covered patio, adding a touch of artful serenity. Practical styling tips include pairing it with lush greenery or garden furniture in neutral tones to let the artwork stand out, or arranging it alongside other nature-inspired pieces for a cohesive look. Since the size is quite generous, it makes a statement without overwhelming the space, making it a great focal point for all kinds of outdoor rooms.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
