Description

The fragrance of a wild lavender meadow in bloom near cool coastal waters and soothing sandalwood. Made with top notes of coconut husk, salted bergamot, orange & cucumber rind. Mid notes with water lily, jasmine and wild lavender. And base with cedarwood, soothing sandalwood & musk. The iconic Jar shape is a symbol of our more than 50-year commitment to creating the world's finest candles.

Our Stylist Says

I love this large jar candle for its calming lavender beach scent, which instantly adds a sense of relaxation to any space. It works particularly well in cosy living rooms or bedrooms where a tranquil ambiance is desired. The soft lilac hue of the wax complements neutral and pastel colour palettes, making it an easy decorative piece. For practical styling, try pairing it with natural textures such as woven throws or wooden trays to create a laid-back, seaside-inspired look. Placing it on a mantelpiece, side table, or bookshelf alongside other minimal accessories will help it stand out as a focal point without overwhelming the space.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
