The OKA X Cabana lighting collection is a collaboration between. Cabana Magazine. Founder Martina Mondadori and OKA Co-Founder Sue Jones. Our Veneto Collection patterns are all reinterpretations of Renaissance wall frescoes; blooming with geometric motifs steeped in pastel tones, the shades radiate harmony. Fresco wall paintings are traditionally created using water-based pigments on freshly applied plaster, so that the dry-powder pigments set with the plaster and become a permanent part of the wall, giving them their signature mellow tones. We took inspiration from these subtle shades when selecting the colours of our lampshades. The name of Cabana’s Cosima pattern means ‘order’, which perfectly reflects its repeating curvaceous print. A scalloped edge follows the curve of the pattern for added intrigue. Handmade in north London by a specialist shade maker, the design is printed on high quality card, also made in the UK, with the edges carefully joined so that the pattern appears as seamless as possible. This shade is available in two sizes with this being the larger style. Cabana Magazine. Was created to inspire a generation of globetrotters with its biannual publication. The Casa Cabana homeware collection is inspired by the pages of the collectible magazine, featuring one-of-a-kind pieces assiduously collected by Martina on her travels.
