Description

For a quick and effective alteration to the image of your lights, you can utilise this easy fit shade, which will simply attach to the existing light fitting and give a revamped look to the fixture. This wool woven shade is finished in a deep charcoal grey colour that could match almost any décor, particularly those with a monochrome theme.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this woven wool ceiling pendant because of its versatile and contemporary look. The grey colour makes it an easy fit in a variety of interiors, from modern minimalism to cosy, layered schemes. It works particularly well in living rooms or bedrooms where you want to add a touch of texture and softness without overwhelming the space. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral or lightly coloured decor to let the shade stand out, or use it alongside warm wood tones for a balanced, inviting atmosphere. Practical tips include choosing warm LED bulbs to enhance the wool’s natural warmth and possibly pairing it with other wool or textured fabrics for a cohesive look. This shade is both functional and stylish, making it a smart choice for updating ceilings with minimal fuss.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
