I’m a fan of this grey console’s smart blend of light oak-effect surfaces and matt-black frame - it brings just the right balance of warmth and structure. It sits neatly in modern-industrial, Scandi or farmhouse-inspired schemes and is slim enough for a hallway or behind a sofa. For styling, place a mirror or simple artwork above to add height, then layer a mix of books, a small lamp and a low vase on the top shelf. Use wicker baskets or storage boxes on the lower tiers for scarves, mail or magazines. Keeping accessories grouped in odd numbers will look more intentional and avoid a cluttered feel.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
