Description

Design. Expertly crafted with a multi-tonal parquet design, the Wooden Chevron Wall Clock beautifully brings together modern and traditional styles. Black metal hands and Roman numeral markings lend a clean, classic look, making it suitable for a wide variety of interior schemes. A practical and decorative accessory, this large clock works just as well as a statement piece as it does alongside additional wall art. Natural yet contemporary.

Our Stylist Says

This wooden chevron clock offers a fantastic blend of rustic charm and functional style, making it a versatile piece for various interiors. I particularly love how the chevron design and Roman numerals add visual interest without feeling cluttered, making it suitable for both contemporary and traditional spaces. It works well in country cottages, coastal schemes, or even urban lofts where a touch of warmth and character is desired. For styling tips, consider pairing it with natural materials like linen or jute accessories, and place it on a feature wall in the living room or kitchen to serve as both a statement piece and easy access to the time. Its earthy brown tones make it easy to coordinate with other wooden or neutral furnishings, creating a cohesive and inviting look.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
