To create the Gustave cordless lamp, Belgian architect and designer Vincent Van Duysele was inspired by the iconic table lamps by Austrian creative Adolf Loos, one of the most influential pioneers of the modern movement. The aluminium silhouette is extremely sleek and simple. All of the technical elements are concealed to perfect the minimalist and timeless aesthetic. You simply need to touch the head of the lamp to switch it on or off, or to vary the brightness. Rechargeable via its USB-C cable (included), its 54 protection index means it can occasionally be used outdoors in dry weather. Don't be fooled by its small size - thanks to a patented lens and special light diffusion technology, Gustave provides perfect 360° lighting for a large surface up to one metre, forming a ring with a shadowed centre: the perfect situation, for example, for a dressed dining table in a restaurant. In substance, Gustave guarantees excellent comfort, is non-dazzling, and evenly distributes light, promising extremely high lighting performances. Designed to be the perfect companion for intimate dinners, the Gustave table lamp is a true décor chameleon, fitting in any space, from restaurants to the home. Originally designed for hotels, this lamp is named after Mr Gustave H., the main character in the film Grand Budapest Hotel by Wes Anderson. All of the components of the Gustave lamp can be replaced to prolong its life span and then be recycled separately.
