In this wire version, the steel wire technique is entirely at the service of transparency and lightness. The steel wire shell is mounted on the legendary "Eiffel Tower" base, a filigree structure that stands out for its unparalleled combination of formal lightness and constructive stability. Harry Bertoia was inspired by the Wire Chair to design his famous Diamant chair for competitor Knoll, who secured his services after he had been involved in designing the Wire Chair in the Eames workshop...
