Description

I’m a fan of the Windsor for its classic rolled arms and deep, comfortable seating - the mid-grey velvet makes it surprisingly versatile. It slots equally well into a Scandi-inspired interior with pale woods and clean lines, or a more layered, eclectic scheme brimming with patterned cushions and metallic accents.
For styling, drape a textured throw (think chunky knit or subtle pattern) over one arm and mix velvet and linen cushions in muted tones or a single pop of colour. Anchor the sofa with a neutral-toned rug (jute or wool) and balance its formality by adding a simple coffee table or a pair of streamlined side tables to keep the overall look relaxed and lived-in.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
