£1,595
Description
Classic French furniture is reimagined – quite beautifully – in the Willis and Gambier Toulon range. Handcrafted in solid oak, this collection includes pieces for bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms and all showcase a wealth of wonderful and well-executed details. Superior cabinetry techniques that include carved profiles, beading, panelling and elegantly tapered legs quickly identify the collection as being handcrafted to the very highest standards, while the finishing touches – soft-closing drawers and cupboard doors and well-designed storage spaces, for example – speak to the range’s twenty-first century sensibilities. Eminently suitable for both traditional and contemporary homes, the Toulon range is, indeed, a modern classic. This striking bed frame is defined by its understated elegance. Its solid oak frame is accentuated by the beautiful upholstery and buttoned headboard. Why you'll love it Inspired by classic French furniture, the Toulon range brims with charm and style. This bed frame showcases a wealth of refined details. Elegant curved and tapered legs. Beautifully carved profiles. Upholstered in a choice of fabrics with a tall buttoned headboard. Frame is made of solid oak, carefully selected for its character and quality. Hand-finished with a white-hued lacquer for a timeless look. In double, king and super king sizes. Handcrafted by Willis & Gambier. This bed frame is part of the Toulon range. What you need to know Periodically check fittings have not become loose. Centre rail legs must always be vertical and fully adjusted to support the mattress when in use. No two pieces of solid wood are the same. Variations in colour will occur. As wood is a natural product, you can expect to see knots which may be filled. Avoid placing in direct sunlight or close to a heat source. Wipe clean with a damp cloth and then dry using a soft duster. Do not use silicon-based furniture polish or abrasive cleaners.
Our Stylist Says
I’m a fan of the Toulon bed for its clean-lined frame and button-tufted headboard, which bring just the right balance of structure and softness to a bedroom. The pale linen upholstery and light timber legs sit neatly in Scandi, contemporary classic or muted coastal schemes, and they’ll anchor darker walls without feeling heavy. To style, layer crisp white linens with a couple of tonal cushions and a knitted throw in oatmeal or dusty rose, then flank the bed with pared-back bedside tables and statement lamps in brass or matte black for contrast.
