I’m a fan of the Tormarton console for its lightly washed acacia and turned “barley-twist” legs - it brings texture without feeling fussy. It works equally well in coastal, farmhouse-style or pared-back contemporary schemes, pairing easily with both soft neutrals and deeper accent colours. For practical styling, tuck woven baskets or low boxes on the bottom shelves for magazines or throws; on the top, layer a table lamp with a linen lampshade, a couple of coffee-table books and a sculptural vase or small plant. Its slim depth makes it ideal for hallways, living rooms or behind a sofa.
