Photographer William Vanscoy captures the power of the sea. Made in the UK, this print is presented in a window mount and metallic frame, ready to hang on your wall. In an attempt to capture the transitory beauty of life and nature, William Vanscoy's work merges the traditional and digital photographic landscape. His goal is to create a serene self-expressive image that reflects the wonder and peace found in his experiences in life. He believes it's not what's seen but what's expressed that makes photographic art. William's photographs are made using digital capture and extensive digital post-production, sometimes combining multiple photographs to create one realistic image He was born in San Mateo California (1946) and attended and graduated from the Brooks Institute School of Photography (1976-1979), with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He worked as a professional commercial product photographer in Los Angeles (1979-2004) and has displayed and promoted fine art images since 1996. After changing to large-format view cameras, he embraced manmade and natural landscape, attempting to emulate artists like Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. While working in Los Angeles as a commercial photographer, Vanscoy stayed connected to his own fine art, taking time to photograph in the American Southwest and Europe. In 2002 he made his final commercial image and moved to the southern coast of Oregon. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
