I’m a big fan of this pink velvet-and-chrome bench because it balances a luxe look with everyday practicality. The slim stainless-steel frame keeps it feeling light, while the wide padded seat makes it comfortable for a hallway, dressing area or at the foot of a bed.
It suits modern, glam or even Scandi-inspired interiors - simply layer a textured cushion or folded throw across the middle, tuck a couple of woven baskets underneath for neat storage, and pair with mirrored or white lacquered side tables to complete the look. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
