Description
This throw is made from 100% cotton with a hand block print design. Each one is unique. Kantha (meaning: “patched cloth”) refers to both the tradition and craft of producing these unique, quilted blankets (making something useful and beautiful out of discarded items), as well as the stitch itself (a small, straight running stitch in Bengali embroidery). Kantha quilts are layers of cloth stitched together using this regional technique. You can judge the quality of Kantha by the stitch size and by the weight of the product. This is the perfect artisanal addition. Can be used for a sofa cover, blanket, throw or take to the beach.
