Description

Designed with small spaces in mind, this dining table seats two when its drop leaf panels are down and seats four when they're fully extended. Robust and functional, the surface top is made from solid mango wood in a walnut finish and it's set on an architectural metal base in an antique bronze finish. The drop leaf panels on either side swing up and secure underneath when the table is fully extended. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this dining table for its modern, streamlined look and versatile design. The mix of warm wood and bronze tones makes it adaptable to various interiors, from Scandi-inspired spaces to contemporary urban homes. Its extending feature offers practical flexibility, perfect for hosting larger gatherings or keeping things cosy during everyday use. Stylistically, pairing it with minimalist chairs or even an eclectic mix of textures can enhance its aesthetic. For a balanced look, consider adding a statement rug underneath and minimal tableware to keep the focus on its sleek design. Overall, this table works well in both open-plan settings and more compact dining areas where space-saving versatility is a bonus.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
