Inspired by the colours and fruits used in an early Morris & Co. design, Fruit (1864), Olive Fruit glows in a wholesomely earthy mid-tone. Highly opaque and low sheen, the eggshell paint finish offers a fresh, enduring quality. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material including dirt and grease. Prime base surfaces with an appropriate primer. Rub down previously glossed painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during preparation of pre-1960’s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead. Prime base surfaces with an appropriate primer. Stir well before use and apply by brush or roller. Apply 2 coats, recoatable after 2-4 hours. Additional coats may be required on new plaster or where a larger colour change is desired. Do not apply in temp
This water-based eggshell paint in Olive Fruit 2.5 is a fantastic choice for creating a warm, inviting atmosphere in living spaces or bedrooms. I love it because of its versatile, muted tone that pairs beautifully with natural textures and neutral palettes. It works well in both traditional and contemporary interiors, especially where a classic yet fresh look is desired. When styling with rugs, opt for patterns and textures that complement the muted green - earthy tones, woven textiles, and subtle geometric designs work well. Practical tips include using this paint on feature walls or woodwork to add depth without overpowering the room, and pairing it with understated accessories to keep the overall aesthetic balanced and calming.
