Description

In an eye-catching, striped design, this door mat is ideal for allergy sufferers as it traps both pollen and dust. Slip resistant and PVC making it suitable for use in rooms with underfloor heating, this door mat absorbs impact and noise. Plus, its flat design means it fits under most doors. Care instructions "Before first use, wash your doormat separately according to the care label at 60 degrees and mild detergent. This straightens the fibres, activates the mat pile and smooths out any creases and folds caused by transport. Spin the mat on a low setting with approx. 800 revolutions. Put the mat in the dryer and select the "Easy care" or "Mixed fabric" programme. As an alternative to the dryer, you can also lay the mat out flat to dry. Please note the respective maximum load of your electrical appliances. Clean your doormat 3 to 4 times a year (or more often if it is heavily used).

Our Stylist Says

I love this mat for its understated yet modern design, making it versatile for a range of interior styles. Its neutral tones easily complement contemporary, Scandinavian, or minimalist interiors, adding a touch of pattern without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include placing it at a main entrance to welcome guests with a clean, polished look, or using it in a covered outdoor area for durability and style. Pairing it with similarly toned accessories or simple monochrome schemes enhances its understated appeal, while also providing a functional, non-slip surface that helps keep dirt outside, making it both stylish and practical.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
