Description
Handcrafted in Belgium, the Walnut Solid furniture collection is the work of Brussels designer Laura Greindl from Atelier 365. Fascinated by traditional wood joints, Greindl builds wooden furniture without nails or screws. Each joint is cut by hand, using chisels and a Japanese dozuki handsaw for greater precision. Where many designers often try and fail to create a perfectly simple piece of design, Greindl seemingly pulls it off easily. Her Solid Walnut Furniture collection for valerie_objects combines essentiality with timelessness. It’s wood in its purest, most humble form. The furniture created at Atelier 365 is made on site, in Brussels, by passionate craftsmen and women. Preserving the soul and essence of each object, keeping it true, highlighting local crafts and artisans, aiming for modern lines, arousing emotion … these are the ambitions of this wonderful workshop which likes to share its passion.
