Designer and architect Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) embodied modernity and the avant-garde throughout the 20th century. This metal wall light is a reissue of the original model designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1962. Le Corbusier’s colleague favours simplicity and usability over luxury. Very innovative for the period, this wall light with its swivelling shutter still has its modern touch. The panel swivels through 45° with a wave of the hand and lets you direct the light flow according to your requirements. Fifty years after its creation, this wall light's modernity is surprising: this adjustable light is perfectly suited to a modern space. Its simple lines are timeless and classic. Finally reissued, this design classic at a reasonable price is a must have for all design and architecture fans. This E14 version is equipped with an on/off switch (located under the wall light). It is fitted with an electric cable (L 110 cm) with a socket on the end for mains connection. The cable is removable if you want to plug the wall light directly into the wall.
I really like this wall light with plug because of its clean, minimalist design and functional pivoting shutter, which adds versatility for focused lighting. Its 1960s design roots, inspired by Charlotte Perriand, bring a touch of mid-century modern sophistication, making it suitable for both contemporary and vintage-inspired interiors. It works particularly well in reading nooks, bedrooms, or home offices where adjustable task lighting is needed without cluttering the wall. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral or muted colour schemes to highlight its sleek metal finish, or use it in a cluster with other wall lights for visual interest in larger spaces. Its understated elegance makes it a versatile choice for those seeking a practical yet stylish lighting solution.
