Raw nature and a return to basics… Arts & crafts trend for this collection of Vulca mini-vases which showcases raw material and imperfect shapes. Made of porcelain stoneware, these vases are available in different raw mineral textures, treated in their simplest form in a natural colour palette mixing white, pinkish beige and grey. These incredibly tactile surfaces evoke eroded stone, marine coral, the bumpy, rough surface of animal skin. Wild and untamed, these mini-vases embody an organic sensitivity and arouse poetic feelings. It’s the grain of the material, its roughness, its irregularities, all its small defects that give it character. Far from the usual straight lines and codes, the irregular organic shapes seem to be kneaded in the ground or cut in stone. Primary and primitive, these imperfect forms draw the eye.
