Description
French designer Inga Sempé created the Volentieri project following a visit with Eugenio Perazza (founder of Magis) to a Venetian family business which invented its own technique for producing industrially tufted carpets. With them, she wanted to create simple, calm, almost neutral rugs, lit up by thin strips of bright, luminous colours, like a neon line. The Volentieri Cornice rug appears to be a stack of two rugs on top of each other. This creates a shape with a very characteristic personality, but easy to use. We find a set of weaves and threads of different natures: sparkling viscose on matt linen. Cornice is in fact made up of two squares of wavy mat linen, outlined by a coloured hem of shiny viscose velvet.
